I am Dr. Sandra Cruz a retired educator and administrator of the Los Angeles Unified School District where I worked for 42 years. I received my Bachelor’s Degree and Teaching Credential from California State University Northridge and Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from California Lutheran University.

My husband, Mr. Carlos Cruz and I celebrated our 41st anniversary in April 2022 and have three children, Anna Maria, Carla Maritza and Carlos Adrian. I live by the motto, “Family Comes First”.

My motto as an educational leader is that “Every Student Can and Will Learn in their own way at their own pace”. I lead by supporting all students to succeed academically, socially and emotionally. My goal is that every student will access post-secondary education in any form. I love students and am inspired when observing classrooms, attending school dances, performances and athletic events. In other words, I am all over the school. I always say my role is to “serve”.
