My name is Joseph Hernandez and I am very excited to be part of the academic team at St. Bridget of Sweden School. I have over 20 years of experience working in various elementary school environments, with 10 years teaching in a catholic school setting.  I currently possess a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University Northridge, am a Google Certified Educator Level 1 and Certified Apple Teacher for iPads and Macs.

My philosophy as an educator is that every child is unique and capable of learning. I firmly believe learning is a process and part of that process includes successes and mistakes. I use positive reinforcement as my main classroom management strategy while acknowledging the need for consequences in certain circumstances.

Lastly, as a product of catholic education and parent, I value, understand and accept the responsibility of educating your children in their faith and academics. I am excited to have the opportunity to teach your child and look forward to meeting and working with you.
